Ephesians 5:17
"Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do." (NLT)
It’s easy to believe that our lives are aligned with God’s plan when, in reality, they may be shaped by our own desires rather than His will. But how do we recognize when we’ve drifted off course?
The signs can be subtle—irritability, difficulty concentrating, feeling overwhelmed, or even a deep sense of dissatisfaction. Perhaps your relationships feel strained, your health is suffering, or anxiety and depression have crept in. These may all be indicators that something is misaligned.
I know this firsthand. I experienced physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion. My health declined, my stress levels soared, and even my spiritual connection felt distant. It was only when I took a step back that I realized I had allowed too many distractions to take priority over God’s plan for my life.
Romans 12:1-2 urges us to surrender ourselves fully to God and allow Him to transform our minds. When we let God reshape our thoughts and priorities, we begin to understand His perfect will for our lives.
Reflection Questions:
Are you growing spiritually or feeling stagnant?
How are your relationships—are they thriving or struggling?
Have stress and burnout taken over?
Has self-care and time with God taken a backseat to life’s demands?
If you recognize these signs in your own life, take heart—God’s plan is not to harm you but to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Aligning with His will brings peace, clarity, and wholeness.
Prayer:
Father, I come before You with an open heart, seeking Your guidance and wisdom. Reveal to me the areas of my life that are out of alignment with Your will. Help me to surrender my thoughts, my plans, and my desires to You. Transform my mind, renew my spirit, and lead me on the path of health and wholeness. I trust in Your perfect plan for my life, knowing that it is filled with hope and a future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let’s journey together toward health and wholeness in Christ!
Be blessed,
Dee Davis
