"The struggle is real, but so is God." – Unknown
Many are troubled and fearful about the state of the world today. News via social media, television, or radio is filled with uncertainty daily, and let's not forget life’s challenges that can become overwhelming.
However, perspective is everything, and as believers, when we allow our focus to be clouded by fear, doubt, and worry, we can lose sight of who we know—our mighty and sovereign God!
In those moments when the threat of anxiety rises and circumstances seem insurmountable, two simple words have the power to shift your entire outlook: But God! These words remind us to lift our eyes from the chaos and fix them on the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Bible contains examples of God's faithfulness, love, and power. Time and time again, when situations seem impossible, when hope seems lost, or when it seems that all human strength fails— 'But God' stepped in to reset our perspective!
"My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, But God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever." – Psalm 73:26 NLT
Look for the truth that aligns with God's Word for your situation and hold on to it!:
But God is the strength of my heart! (Psalm 73:26)
But God listens to our prayers! (Psalm 66:19)
But God is rich in mercy and loves us deeply! (Ephesians 2:4)
But God unites us with Christ and draws us near to Him! (Ephesians 2:13)
But God makes the impossible possible! (Matthew 19:26)
But God intends good, even in our trials! (Genesis 50:20)
But God is always faithful! (1 Corinthians 10:13)
But God demonstrated His love for us by sending Jesus to die for our sins! (Romans 5:8)
These words are not just a phrase but a connection to a promise. Whatever trial you may be facing today, remember: But God! He is greater than any obstacle, more powerful than any struggle, and faithful to the end. So, let your heart be encouraged and your faith strengthened.
Prayer:
Father,
Thank You for being my strength, my hope, and my salvation. When life feels overwhelming, I will remember two powerful words: But God. I declare that Your Spirit will remind me that You are always with me, hear my prayers, and work all things for my good and the good of others. I decree that I am strengthened in faith, renewed in spirit and perspective, and will keep my eyes fixed on You. I will trust in Your unfailing love and the promises of Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Be blessed,
Dee Davis
